City Lights Church Planting and Mission Network

is a coalition of city-focused, missional churches, businesses, and individuals working to plant new missional churches and ministries in African-American majority geographic communities in DFW.

How do we do this?

  • Cultivate worship using the arts.

  • Make the lives of our neighbors better through education, creative outlets, and friendship.

  • Raise up the next generation of church and community leaders from within the local community.

We are just getting started.

City Lights has had the privilege of launching our first church plant:  ART Church - DeSoto.  On February 27, 2022, around 30 people gathered together in a rented space in DeSoto for the first time to worship, pray, celebrate, and cast a vision for the future together.

Under the supervision of Rev. Dr. Andy Whaley and Rev. Harry Smith, Elliott Caldwell and Eric Willis have begun to lead this brand new community of believers.  To learn more about ART Church - DeSoto, click here or click on the logo.

Without our partners, this would not have been possible. Our partners are our lifeline for prayer, spiritual and emotional support, and financial viability.  We see partnership as reciprocal -- meaning that we will send new believers to existing ministries if one is located near to where they live.  We are here to serve our target communities with our partners, not simply because of our partners.

Our Partners

Want to become a individual, church, or business partner?

Volunteer or mentor partner.

Much of City Lights’ success depends on the faithful service of volunteer leaders. By signing up to help with a ministry, you can be an instrumental part of giving hope and opening doors of opportunity to those in need.

Financial Partner.

Serving the underserved requires external funding. The more we raise, the more good we can do. Whether it is $5/month or $500/month, any amount helps. Become a regular giver at the link below.

Prayer partner.

Put our ministry in your regular prayer list, for our effectiveness and integrity. Let us know you did, and we will put your ministry in our prayers as well.
